Generosity.jpeg

The Lord Buddha taught us three ways to make merit, which enable us to live happy, blessed and fulfilled lives.  They are the three grounds for meritorious action—generosity (dāna), moral precepts (sīla) and meditation (bhāvanā)—whereby dāna is also the first of the ten pāramī and one of the seven treasures.

To facilitate the wholesome practice of dāna and to support our monastic community and charitable activities, the temple has included electronic channels for your convenience.

Your generous donation will help to defray the temple's operating expenses and will go a long way in supporting the propagation of the Dhamma. Sādhu anumodanā.

Help Us Re-Build Our Main Shrine Hall

Our Main Shrine Hall was constructed in 1970 and was consecrated on 12 May 1973.  Over the passage of the past 54 years, the building has served its purpose and is now showing signs of deterioration.  Moreover, it cannot accommodate the large turnouts during our communal events like Vesak Day, Kathina, New Year’s Day etc.  The Sangha and Management Committee have decided that it is time to re-develop the building.

It will be a double-storey building comprising a column-less main shrine hall on the second floor and a multi-purpose hall, library and memorial to our Founder, on the first floor. The design will follow traditional northern Thai architecture and ornamentation.  This is to remember our late founder, Phra Khruu Prakassa Dhammakhun and to remind future generations that our temple has its roots in Thai Theravada Buddhism.

Construction work is scheduled in two phases.

  • Phase 1 (2nd Quarter 2024 – 1st Quarter 2025) aims to expand the meditation hall, provide a lift access to the Chedi building, and add more rooms for  the Sangha.

  • Phase 2 (2nd Quarter 2025 – Jan 2027) is to re-build the main shrine.

Come! Join us in this once in a life time opportunity to build the main shrine hall of a temple, to honour Lord Buddha, the Teacher of gods and men!

Sadhu Anumodana!
